Papel Picado Workshops

Papel Picado Workshops offer a meaningful introduction to this traditional Mexican art form. We explore the creative process through rhythm, repetition, and the quiet focus of pattern-making. Participants are invited to slow down and connect with their inner artist.

You’ll learn how design becomes language, and how making art becomes a way to reflect and remember your story with joy.

Each workshop begins with a look at the cultural history of papel picado—how it’s been used to celebrate life, honor ancestors, and mark sacred time. Working with fabric as our medium, we blend time-honored techniques with contemporary interpretation.

This is an experience of story, tradition, and creative freedom.

Workshops are offered in person and online. They are open to all experience levels and can be tailored for individuals, families, classrooms, or special gatherings.
