Virtual Papel Picado Workshop Series

Let the Light In: Create Art for Your Home Windows

Turn sunlight into a daily work of art.

In this immersive three-part online workshop, you’ll create a hand-cut Papel Picado window piece—designed to filter light, cast vibrant shadows, and bring beauty into your everyday space.

Led by artist Karina Puente, you’ll explore the rich tradition of Mexican Papel Picado while learning modern techniques using textile materials, hand-dyeing, and precision cutting tools. Each session builds toward a final piece that’s both meaningful and made to last.
