Virtual Papel Picado Workshop

$250.00

Workshop 1 - Learning The Process

This is an online workshop.

Participants are invited to participate and join one session or two if you need additional time and support.

In our virtual workshop, learn about the Mexican tradition of papel picado through an online video session with papel picado expert Karina Puente. Papel picado loosely translates to “perforated paper.” Papel Picado is the traditional Mexican folk art of cut paper.

In our workshop, we cut into a textile that resembles a lightweight fabric. We will provide a large piece of the fabric that Karina Puente uses in her creative practice that is five feet wide by six feet long.

Karina will guide you in carving meaningful symbols into a piece of art that will help you tell the heart of your story.

Please choose one day that works for you in our Calendly calendar and secure your seat in advance to ensure you receive your materials.
